Enjoy the Chaos
With the shift in the economy and the rapid changes in technology it can look pretty chaotic out there. Some people are getting laid off and looking for new work. Other people are searching out and starting second careers—some because they want to and some because they have to. . New communications vehicles are launching weekly—or is it hourly? New products and services are popping in and out of the market and companies are struggling to say relevant. Chaos, for sure.
But chaos is the perfect landscape for creative thinking. The rules aren’t the rules anymore so you can re-write them. There are opportunities for collaboration and partnerships that weren’t available in the past. Big ideas can happen faster and less expensively as technology becomes more and more accessible. The market and your customers are just a click away on the internet. It’s the perfect time to introduce a new product or redefine your deliverable or even re-cast yourself.
Chaos can actually be the primordial soup for our businesses —rich with all the things that we need to build what comes next. The talent, the skills and experience, access to customers, and less expensive technology are all there. As always, we just need to plant the big idea.
Chaos—scarey but fun!
